2019 Chevy Silverado Pricing Update: Less Expensive LT Trim Soon to be on Sale

Trusty and tough trucks like the Chevy Silverado fit right into a hard-working and time-proven city such as Memphis, and now that summer is here, our customers are beginning to ask what changes will come about during the fall for future models. There are all different types of trim levels to choose from when it comes to the Silverado. We had a few close-up blogs covering the ways in which it has been thoroughly restyled and revamped for the ultimate in efficiency, but now it's going to be cheaper too. Everyone who is looking at getting into a new truck works very hard for their money, and it is a well-known fact that having money left over after any major purchase is a relief.

Depending on which trim level you select, the Silverado comes available with six different options for powertrain, beginning with a 4.3-liter V6, all the way up to a 3.0-liter turbodiesel, with a 10-speed automatic. The Work Truck trim is now the entry-level version, and along with the Custom and Custom Trail Boss levels, they come standard with the 4.3-liter V6. The 5.3-liter V8 is available on all three trims as well, and the LT as well as RST are equipped with the new 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder, producing 310 horsepower, and 348 lb – ft of torque, with the option of a V8 also on deck.

It is definitely true that “you get what you pay for”, and when it comes to pricing for  trucks, many understand that the engineering, design, research, and development all are elements that will up the price. A truck such as the Silverado is not the type of vehicle that anyone sensible would think is a member of a “bargain basement” category, but from all of us here at Chuck Hutton Chevy, we know that every dollar counts, and that wages out there have not necessarily gone up in conjunction with the cost of living. We also believe that the pride of being an American comes from deep layers of tradition, and trucks such as the Silverado bring to mind just how deeply-layered the toil of many was to build this great nation. As the 4th of July season is upon us, the announcement of this less expensive Work Truck trim is a salute to everyone out there that has coffee brewing before the sun is even up!

Car And Driver praised next year's Silverado heavily for “butch new styling, fresh engine tech, and its diesel option”. The new wheelbase is 3.9 inches longer than the current truck's, and it is 1.6 inches longer than before. Legroom is up from 40.9 inches to 43.8 inches, and there are two large storage bins in the rear seatbacks, along with convenient storage space under the rear seat bottoms. No matter which configuration you choose, every 2019 Silverado gets a larger bed, that boasts almost seven inches of extra floor width. There is a new available power-operated tailgate, controlled by your choice of a cabin-mounted button, or key fob. We are excited to see features such as lower prices for trim levels on the Silverado, and hope that you stop by soon to check out Memphis's toughest truck choice, rolling in and ready by the fall!
