ZL1 Camaro 2019 Facelift Feature: Mounting Excitement on the Lot

Summer is the time when racing action is the name of the game for all of our track-hungry Chuck Hutton Customers, and the Memphis International Raceway is the scene of some of the best action around here in existence! This Saturday, the gates open at 5PM for the Summit Bracket Racing Series, Presented by Comp Cams, with Time Trials beginning at 6 P.M. On Friday the 27thMidnight Madness with TA drifting take place, and Test N Tune Thursdays give you the opportunity to unwind and see everything about vehicles that make them powerful and great. Don't miss Street Warriors “Roll Wrestling” on the 28th of July: sponsored by Coca-Cola and Napa Auto Parts, it's one way to get the best in racing excitement while making some high-octane memories with the entire family this summer!

Speaking of exciting track contenders, The V8 SS Camaro is going to have an  enormous grille, and the sides remain fairly unchanged. The tail is where you see the most difference: as with the rest of next year's 2019 lineup, the ZL1 gets much larger taillights featuring four new illuminated rings, that help give the car a super-cool vibe. They are deeper and more detailed than those on the current model, and the bumper is now changed to match the others with a more simplified lip under the taillights, and a license plate section that has been completely redesigned. The rear wing and diffuser appear the same as the last ones, and the same 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque engine appear to be similar, coupled to a six-speed manual, or 10-speed automatic gearbox.

The extractors in the center of the hood have also been changed, and this gives the pony car an even meaner and sleeker appearance than the existing version. Directly under those larger vents in the hood, Chevy will now offer the V8 with its 10-speed automatic, and there are new performance-oriented features like line lock and the ultra-exciting launch control. Come here to Chuck Hutton Chevy and ask us during the fall how you can set your track-ready sights on the 1LE trim with the 275-horsepower and 295 lb-ft 2.0-turbocharged 4-cylinder engine: this package comes with an upgraded suspension, Track and Competition Mode settings, launch, control, and shift lights.

Once you position yourself inside, the new Camaro features Chevy's Infotainment 3 system that has better graphics and improved Bluetooth connectivity, and the 2SS and ZL1 trims feature a standard rear camera in the mirror as well. A 7.0-inch touchscreen is the standard infotainment setup for the 2019 Camaro, and an 8.0-inch screen running the latest Infotainment 3 system is an option, with or without navigation. This is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and permits a cloud connection for personalized navigation, installation of apps, and vehicle software updates sent over-the-air. The enhanced performance data recorder is the racing enthusiast's dream: come down to check out how every single thing you do during your exciting drive is evaluated with the absolute best in cutting-edge technology in the new Camaro!
