Chevy “Holiday Ride” ad Tugs on Heartstrings of Car Lovers Everywhere Becomes Viral Hit!

Turning on the waterworks has always been a viable strategy for filmmakers as the holidays are a time that spark emotional responses. Tom Hooper was the esteemed director of the new “Holiday Ride” ad that so many viewers are falling in love with. Hooper is also known for his brilliance shining through “The King’s Speech” and “The Danish Girl”. There is now a four-minute version of the spot posted to YouTube that enables the viewer to check out the stunning portrayal of a very lovable 1966 Chevy Impala.

The spot begins with a widower who has done the longstanding duty of keeping his late wife’s untouched 1966 Chevy Impala stowed away safely in a barn that he frequently visits to honor her memory. Since she can tell how special it is for him, his daughter then brings the Chevy in to a local expert to help friends restore it back to full and vital life. He discovers the immaculate blue car in the barn; it’s not a surprise to see how gleeful he is during his first drive!

Everyone here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis fondly remembers the 427 CID V8 that was introduced that year as the largest engine option and brand-new grille on the Impala. There were two versions of the engine: one was rated at 390 horsepower and another “special performance” options rated at 425 horsepower courtesy of its heavy-duty four-bolt main block. The base V8 was once again a 327 CID motor that produced 275 horsepower, and the boxy appearance visually went along well with the new taillights.

At the time, getting up to 60 mph in just 7.2 seconds was blisteringly fast, and the recognizable rumble was always a sure sign that one of these beautifully made numbers were unwrapping and comin’ round the corner! In between 1965 and 1970, one million Chevy Impalas were sold. Another addition that fans loved on the ’66 was the chrome beltline door strips that were made to prevent dings that can occur in a drive through of a busy parking lot. Much like other SS cars, the horsepower number could be bumped up to 500, and even further into the high-powered stratosphere!

One choice from the present day’s offerings that is fantastic at providing the power that hungry track hounds crave is the 2018 Chevy Camaro. It offers up a great-sounding V6 and V8, amazing performance for the price, and the massively exciting 1LE track package. A model that is all about the pure and unbridled joy of track driving; it’s nearly impossible to find a better value on the market for anyone on the hunt for sheerly breathtaking thrills!

Consumer Reports Hails 6 Chevy Models in Annual “Best American Cars, Suvs, and Trucks” Awards

When you are on the hunt for the absolute best vehicle for your business or family, Consumer Reports has long been a benchmark for everyone in the industry to measure themselves by. The various ratings can be sorted and filtered many different ways to figure out which car is best for you in a price range or category, and all of us here at Chuck Hutton heartily admire those wanting to “Buy American” for 2019. To score the ribbon for the win as a Best American winner, the overall score factors in road tests, reliability, owner satisfaction, and safety. We were proud as ever that six Chevy vehicles made the list, providing a star-studded showing in this all-important test of reliability.

The Chevy Sonic hatchback and sedan took honors for the best subcompact car, as it offers a relatively comfortable ride, as well as a very quiet cabin. Extra features such as keyless entry and push-button start, as well as heated seats and steering wheel, are other first-rate selling points. A 7-inch touch screen as standard as well as compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are other reasons that this car is accessible, practical, and alluring.

The Chevy Cruze snagged the winning spot for the compact car category, and one of the main reasons why was the way in which it offers up big-car qualities. A very quiet interior and comfortable ride, as well as the stop/start feature that reduces fuel use during idling, are all reasons why the Cruze won over the Consumer Reports staff. The safety features available on the top Premier trim are where the Cruze really packs a punch, and offer the best in show for your protection on the road.

The Chevy Bolt took home the honors on behalf of Consumer Reports for the best compact Electric Car, and it is known as the first relatively affordable EV to have a robust driving range. The battery offers 250 miles of power, and where it resides underneath the car's floor adds to its planted feel, even though it has a relatively tall stature. A full charge takes ten hours while putting to use a 240-volt connector, and just about every single person who has test driven it wildly favors its aggressive acceleration qualities.

The Large Car sector is quite an interesting one: even though many wants and needs have shifted towards SUVs and trucks as of late, if a consumer really wants the benefits of a large car, they are going to strive to find exactly the right one for them. The Chevy Impala was no doubt the best choice for this category winner, as it is quiet, comfortable and always fun to drive. The Consumer Reports team billed the handling as “secure and responsive,” and it is truly amazing to see how the Impala expertly blends everyday functionality with high-end luxury accents.

The Chevy Corvette Stingray is robustly and loudly something special: it derives its power from a 6.2-liter V8 that generates 455 hp, and purists have fallen in love with the 7-speed manual transmission. It easily swooped up the winning slot for best sports car, and hardcore track hounds love the ability to step up to 650 hp by means of the Z06. All-aluminum construction plays an integral role in optimizing strength and weight savings, and handling of the Stingray has been rated as top-notch by many. Truly the continuation of nothing short of a legend, the Corvette trumps other sports cars playfully, and with a sense of foreboding and superior seniority.

The Large SUV category could quite well be billed as the most important to dominate in for any vehicle as of late. While easily offering up space for seven passengers and their gear, the towing capacity of the Suburban is ranked in a category that others simply can't touch. The touch-screen infotainment system is very easy to use, and one of the best features of the Premier trim is dynamic ride suspension, which greatly improves handling response, and overall comfort of the ride. Incorporate the higher-powered 6.2-liter V8 for more muscle, and get a taste of how you can really inject the roar of primo power into your daily driving regimen!

Memphis Milestone in The Awards Dept: 2017 Chevy Impala Close-up

It's no secret that the Impala is a beautifully crafted car: those who come to view it love how it is a full-size looker that is tailored to help you drive flawlessly and smoothly. Car and Driver stated this year when reviewing the Impala that there is "no need to shout when your reputation precedes you," and claimed that its practicality and athleticism was far beyond that of previous generations. Many customers ask which types of awards cars have gleaned, and this helps them ultimately purchase a model that will provide them the safety and stability they need.

Kelley Blue Book is a widely popular California-based valuation and research company, and they hailed the Impala this year as the best in a category of 5-year cost-to-own. This is a prediction of the total amount of vehicle-related costs you will likely have to cover during the first 5 years of your new car purchase. Insurance and fuel, as well as its depreciation, are taken into consideration: many who want an economical choice in the long run and want to free up cash for other bills will flock to the Impala because of this award.

Kelley Blue Book also rated the new Impala as one of the 10 most comfortable cars under $30K, an overall tribute to how spacious and practical the car is, while providing an environment for long-distance travel that has one of the widest appeals in the entire industry. U.S. News and World Report rated the Impala as the "Best Large Car for the Money" this year, thereby generating a lot of attention among consumers who are really looking towards savings. This car that is a massive boost to the pocketbook's gusto will still add up to a luxurious, practical and feature-filled ride for the entire family or any young professional.

Many young and savvy professionals ARE choosing Memphis as their new home because of the various innovative companies located here, one-of-a-kind Southern culture, and homespun secrets like killer barbecue. The new Impala has enough space for five adults, so your best in show as far as friends can squeeze in with you for the ride. With available Chevrolet MyLink touch-screen display, you can send and receive texts, pay your favorite road music and more. Directions from Apple Maps are right at your fingertips as well, and Apple CarPlay is an incredibly smart way for you to listen ton Apple Music.

Safety is a priority for many buyers, and features such as Available Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are great attributes that will help you keep a true "bird's eye" view on all of the happenings around you. Come down to Chuck Hutton this summer to see just how fun owning the streets, highways, and every road in between can be for you. As your comprehensive owner benefit program, Chevrolet Complete Care ensures a very long-standing commitment to owner happiness for all 2017 Chevy vehicles, and everyone here on the lot  is "With you all the way."
