Refreshed 2022 Silverado 1500 is Holiday-Primed and Ready For Your Order

As the holiday trees and decorations begin to be put up here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis, we are constantly reminded of just how much people are bowled over by the power of a high-performing truck! Stepping up at the beginning of a long day and enjoying the towing capacity, raw power, and torque a beautiful and accessible new rig offers up. The 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 officially debuted in September which showcases a revised exterior and interior, brand new technology, and the newly price-cut ZR2 trim level.

The bloggers at GM Authority let us know that the order books for the fully refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 are now open! This state-of-the-art vehicle starts out on a new launch timeline poised for haul-ready action. On top of revised exterior styling, the Silverado  will now feature a brand-new cabin space for LT trim levels, an XXL 13.4-inch diagonal color touchscreen, and a 12.3 inch diagonal configurable digital instrument cluster.

Along with built-in features including Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistant, your next destination is guaranteed to be a breeze! This video of the new Silverado exhibits an up-close, virtual tour of some of the standout features you’ll be enjoying as soon as you step in. In addition to four engine options, ranging from a turbocharged 2.7-Liter Inline-4 L3B gas engine, it now produces 20 percent more torque (420 lb-ft).

The brand-new Silverado is also offered with the significantly higher-powered 5.3-liter V8 L84 gas engine, on top of the 6.2-Liter V8 L87 and 3.0-Liter I6 LM2 turbo diesel Duramax. The class-leading support under it all is the GM T1 platform, the GM Fort Wayne Plant in Indiana, and the GM Oshaway plant in Canada. Click here to view the 13.4-inch infotainment screen which is directly in the center of the interior, captured on the floor of the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

This screen is one of the largest in its class and works alongside the 12.3-inch diagonal configurable digital instrument cluster. The 2022 Silverado’s overhauled interior is available on LT trim levels with the 13.4-inch screen now included as standard on LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, ZR2, and High-Country trim levels. With a sleek layout and improved features, the first units of the refreshed 2022 Silverado 1500 are set to hit dealers in Q1 of 2022.

2022 Silverado High Country Midnight Concept Introduced at 2021 SEMA Show

A decadently blacked-out version of the 2022 Chevy Silverado High Country made its first appearance for the truck fans at the 2021 SEMA Show this week.

This concept trades in the stock chrome exterior trim and accessories for gloss-black painted pieces, giving the vehicle a stealthy outside appearance. The black-painted grille inserts, black Chevy bowtie logos, black High Country fender logos, 20-inch gloss black Chevrolet Accessories wheels, and black anodized exhaust bezels tie things together while pleasantly embracing the darker side of design. With other available Chevy accessories available at Chuck Hutton Chevrolet, you’ll be able to personalize the truck and claim ownership of the night!

The model has a high-end exterior appearance with a two-tone bronze and chrome grille, chrome window and mirror trim, and 20-inch city or trail-ready aluminum wheels. Even with the extra dark bits adding visual character, the concept keeps most of the standard specs as what is already available on the High Country. You’ll still have heated and ventilated 10-way power front driver’s and passenger’s seats, the all-important wireless charging pad, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, and an immaculate Bose premium audio setup.

We are not yet positive if this version will be for mass production or an exciting and brand-new High Country Midnight Concept, and this final decision could be heavily dependent on how the public responds at SEMA. 87% of attendees plan to actually order products from SEMA exhibitors this year, and a strong 65% are coming to check out what new vendors have to offer. Education day seminars, a star-studded awards reception and banquet, and the hottest and future-ready cars all provide the backdrop to one of Chevy’s highest-attended events.

This top-of-the-line High Country edition features open-pore wood, and the updated Silverado trims now come with a configurable 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with a 13.4-inch touchscreen situated at the center. Paired together with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Chevy’s new infotainment system includes Google’s voice assistant, app store, and maps. The infamous Super Cruise system is also available on the High Country, allowing the driver to go hands-free under certain conditions!
