2021 Chevy Malibu Sport Edition Package Showcased in Autoblog.com

As the heat and dazzling rays of summer continue, we recognize the vast popularity of SUVs and crossovers as the number one family choice. Trucks are of course enjoying immense popularity as well, but the solid connection you get to the road and the fun of a sedan is still one of the remaining joys of the pure and exciting thrill of the road. Autoblog had a great feature this week about the incoming Chevy Malibu, which will add another exciting appearance package to the two already offered on the LT Trim.

It is called the Sport Edition and sees the addition of black bow-tie emblems and Malibu badges, a blacked-out grille, and 19-inch painted aluminum wheels wrapped in 245/4- all-season tires. This awesome new feature set duplicates the Midnight Edition Package's add-ons that are offered on the current model Malibu but are instead just available on any color scheme but Mosaic Black Metallic. You can also opt for the Redline Edition Package, which stealthily blacks out the bow-tie badges, grilles, and logos, puts a red border around the Malibu script, affixes black mirror caps, and adds on a set of 19-inch black wheels with red hash marks.

Everyone here at Chuck Hutton Chevy of Memphis always enjoys referring to the GM Authority blog as a great point of reference for models coming soon and just what features they will offer. The 2021 model is expected to be based on the new GM VSS-F platform, which will deliver fresh underpinnings and engineering, as well as all-new both exterior and interior designs. You'll see improved packaging, yielding a larger-sized usable interior. A next-generation infotainment system is expected, as well as the potential addition of all-wheel-drive as an option.

The incoming Malibu is expected to offer the choice of 1.4-L or 1.5-L turbocharged I-4 engine, and a 2.0-l Displacement turbocharged I-4 engine. Proudly assembled in the USA, the hard-working men and women that make the Malibu a reality are located at the GM Kansas City factory. Familiar and popular, the Malibu has already made its debut this year at the New York Auto Show. This is expected to be a more luxurious and efficient model compared to the ones before it as well as the firm competition in the forms of the Toyota Camry, Subaru Legacy, and Nissan Altima.

The new style on the exterior features new headlamps, front aprons, taillights, and split front grille that adds a heightened touch of luxury, and also will see a few more cues from the Impala than models before it. The new Malibu is 2.3 inches longer than its predecessor, and also now included a 7-inch color touch screen to control various commands, as well as storage slots for mobile phones and new leather seating covers. We believe the most important safety feature the Malibu boasts is Teen Driver: especially in times like these, it will give you a fully-scored “report card” describing whereabouts, speed limits, and whether seat belts are being used.

2019 Chevy Malibu Rally Sport Trim Line Examined Up-close by Autoweek

The exciting and sporty RS trim is situated in the middle of the lineup for the Chevy Malibu, just beneath the LT and Premier models. The folks on staff at Autoweek offered up a feature this past week on the blog examining the trim level closely, and they admired how this particular choice of trim can delightfully show off your dark side! The grille, Bowtie logos and rear spoiler all come in black, and you also get the added treats of 18-inch alloy wheels and dual exhaust.

Inside, the seats are wrapped in black cloth and the shifter and steering wheels in leather. Auto features writer Robin Warner claimed that the chassis was perfectly stable through the everyday driving she tossed its way, and that it never felt too harsh or floaty. She was driving predominantly around Detroit metro roads and found it easy to get a comfortable seating position right off the bat. The RS was equipped with all the things she needed to make the daily commute comfortable: power seats, tilt and telescoping steering, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

All available engines for the Malibu are inline-fours: all of the non-hybrid models use a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine cranking out a peak 160 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and 184 lb-ft of torque. Highway mileage is situated at 36 mpg, and 29 city is the EPA rating. All of us on staff here to happily serve you at Chuck Hutton Chevy of Memphis know full well that our competitors have heavily shifted their focus to SUVS, crossovers, and trucks, but we have still remained steadfast by refreshing the Malibu, Camaro, Spark, and Cruze models for the 2019 year. The RS trim level also has a new CVT that replaces the outgoing 6-speed automatic on the standard 1.5-liter turbo-four model, as the more powerful 2.0-liter model keeps its 9-speed automatic.

The RS trim is our favorite, but when you come to visit us for a test drive, don't forget to check out the LT model: it includes heated front seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, remote engine start, rear-seat air-conditioning vents, and LED daytime running lights. The range-topping Premier comes standard with the more powerful 2.0-liter engine, ventilated front seats, perforated leather seating, heated steering wheel, Bose audio system, wireless phone charging, an 8.0-inch instrument cluster display, and LED headlights.
The Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Altima take their respective solid positions against our Malibu in the form of competition, and we believe that our well-rounded model along with the sporty RS trim will attract buyers on a budget that still have a penchant for a sleek and sporty new sedan! We hope to see you soon here at Chuck Hutton, where we can educate you on warranty coverage, service agreements, and the perfect Malibu trim for you.
