2022 Chevy Blazer Flaunts Aggressive Style, Muscle-Car Influence and 4,500 lb. Tow Rating

During the tail end of summer at Chuck Hutton Chevrolet, we are eagerly preparing for our loyal customers checking out our wide selection, and crossover SUVs remain as popular as ever! Perhaps the most popular, the 2022 Blazer now has a more daring body around its five-passenger crossover cabin.

Now available in LT, RS, and Premier trim, the base 193-horsepower 4-cylinder has been taken out of the picture. There is a visually dramatic curve present from the front end up into the rear roofline that adds a pleasant floating appearance. Inside, the driver’s area of the cabin has controls in the most easy-to-reach locations. The Car Connection team said the front-wheel drive and available acceleration were just right during their first drive with the 228-horsepower turbo-4.

The RS trim ramps up to the 308-horsepower V6, with an ideal torque vectoring that improves traction across the rear wheels. When it’s finally time to ditch the weekly confines of the office and head to the nearest state park or lake, you’ll also be working with a 4,500 – lb. towing rating, and every 2022 Blazer trim level has the all-important automatic emergency braking feature. Most trim levels can also be equipped with a surround-view camera system and rear camera mirror.

With styling the Car Connection crew described as “grabby and perfectly upswept,” we also love the Blazer’s extra-large grille and blacked-out roof pillars and taillights, similar to what is found on the Camaro. With incredibly sharp steering and a firm ride, the 2022 Blazer is fine-tuned for much better handling than the vast majority of crossover SUVs. The turbo 4 model is an amazing value, offering more raw power than the scores of other 4-cylinders out there.

The one characteristic that will resonate with any buyer is the sound and piping-hot acceleration. On the V-6 model, a thoroughly engineered system has a twin-clutch rear differential that can shift power between the rear wheels for improvement in traction. With a youthful demeanor and focused highway tracking, the 2LT trim offers the turbo-4, 18-inch wheels, keyless start, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, and power driver’s seat.

Chevy Traverse Offers Peace of Mind For Parents of Teen Drivers

As families in Memphis and nationwide prepare for their return to in-person learning after a year away, surveys found that 68% of parents are anxious to think of their kids on the road once again. Chevy worked alongside the Harris Poll to survey more than 1,000 parents of school-aged children to provide insight into how the pandemic affected their driving skills and new challenges young drivers are up against daily.

During the pandemic, 56 percent of parents said they absolutely were driving much less. If basic driving skills deteriorate, it can lead to carelessness on the road. 75 percent of parents surveyed now report that they feel as if they are much more on the defensive since road space is filling up with more drivers again. The pandemic was also responsible for many delays in licensing and registration, with nearly half of parents saying they were tied up due to DMV’s limiting services nationwide.

Aggravated drivers have also posed a major safety threat on roads nationwide, as 73 percent of parents reported incidents they felt were related to road rage and increased stress of the lingering virus. Well-equipped and class-leading vehicles such as the 2022 Chevy Traverse feature multiple active safety and driver-assistance features that will leave you much less worried about your kids driving to school this fall. All trims come with automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, forward collision alert, and IntelliBeam automatic high beam control.

The Teen Driver technology will provide a useful safeguard when it comes to coaching drivers: even when they are unaccompanied. Parents can set a specific speed alert, volume limit, and monitor the performance of every drive. The Buckle To Drive feature doubles down efficiently to prevent the driver from shifting out of park if the seat belt is not buckled, providing a high-tech reminder to always be as safe as possible on the road. If anything from a fender bender to a serious accident ever occurs, OnStar Automatic Crash Response can connect drivers to an Emergency-Certified Advisor who can quickly locate and dispatch help, towing, and other vital forms of assistance.

Other new features for 2022 include updated front and rear-end styling, standard LED headlights and taillights, four new wheel designs, and Wireless AppleCarPlay and Android Auto. The Motor Trend staff praised the Traverse for its remarkable ride quality, body control, and smooth, responsive shifts courtesy of the nine-speed automatic.

The 2021 Traverse provides a spacious cabin ideal for back-to-school trips and activities, seating for seven or eight across three rows, and 33.5 inches of legroom in the back. The Traverse will be working overtime to keep teens on the road safe this fall and alleviate any parent’s worry!

Coming Silverado Electric Pickup To Feature Exceptional Agility Via Four-Wheel Steer

The coming electric Chevy Silverado is now surely destined to drive circles around the competition, and with four-wheel steer and 24-inch wheels, will dominate in even more ways. Four-Wheel Steer is a feature within the chassis that provides the ability to steer all four wheels, which gives you a tighter turning radius at low speeds, along with greater stability at high speed.

This brand-new design has the makings of an EV from the ground up and uses the best of the Ultium Platform’s benefits and capability of the Silverado to usher in an amazing new model that gives truck buyers the durability and versatility they need while fully embracing the benefits of electric power. Both the retail and fleet versions of the electric Silverado will offer a variety of useful options, and we expect to see high demand on the lot when it proudly arrives.

Slated to be built at the same factory as the GMC Hummer EV truck and SUV models, the incoming Chevy EV will be pitted head-to-head daily against the electric Ford F-150 and many other electric models arriving within the next two years. The truck is expected to have a 400-mile range capability on each charge, and GM Authority had some renderings that display classic Silverado DNA as far as styling goes. The front end features signature two-tiered lighting, with bright LED strips that provide illumination.

This rendering shown to the public on the internet back in April also depicted a blocked-off front end that gives the entire package a more aerodynamic vibe and has a texture that resembles what is found on the 2022 Chevy Bolt EV. The rear end has the appearance that any long time Chevy fan would expect, but has a few minor changes. There is a horizontal lighting strip across the rear tailgate and a Silverado E badge proudly proclaiming its newfound eco-friendly status.

We are confident that the true Silverado spirit will still shine through in the new electric version, and the rich technology features Chevy users expect are becoming more user-friendly and productive by the day. Although going electric is a big change, the might and muster you can always count on from a truck aren’t going anywhere!

The wide selection of crossover SUVs available at Chuck Hutton of Memphis includes the 2021 Chevy Blazer, which recently received the 2021 vehicle satisfaction award from AutoPacific! The survey asked 89,000 new car and light truck owners detailed questions about their vehicle ownership experience. Our prized Chevy Camaro snagged top honors in the Sporty Car category, and the Chevy Colorado claimed the highest spot in the Compact Pickup category.

As engineering and development have improved SUV and crossover platforms, the luxurious ride, exciting driving experience, and stellar fuel economy are now more closely resembling what is found on traditional cars.
