2023 Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison to Arrive This Summer with Assistance From Customization Gurus at AEV

It was last year when Chevy officially introduced the 2022 Silverado ZR2, and everyone here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis knew that much like other capable and current rigs, it was going to be an off-road game-changer extraordinaire! Chevy had dropped many official hints in the form of a video teaser for the incoming Silverado ZR2 Bison, which will add even more rugged and trail-ready upgrades to this already perfectly canyon-crawl capable and all-American favorite.

Even though the teaser seemed to keep many things a bit under wraps as usual, it is evident that Chevy is again partnering with the all-out masters of customization in the form of the Montana-derived American Expedition Vehicles staff. You can make out some of these sweet additives in the teaser video, but they're fairly well covered in shadows, as many pre-release excitement-generating previews are. The bison is expected to have a large metal underbody protection, just as it did on the Colorado, bearing 5 passively preps steel underbody skid plates.

Looking at what the Colorado had offered in terms of wilderness-conquering equipment, there was also a brand-new front bumper with a winch in place, a new rear bumper with tow hooks, a 2.0-suspension lift, and unique wheels. Chevy also gave the truck a lifted suspension from the 40-millimeter Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers, and this is one of the most important aspects of off-roading: we have been watching some of the most famous YouTubers out there test drive trucks after installing a lift kit, and they are thrilled with the difference. This is one way to improve ride quality drastically and can rover over obstacles much easier.

The Silverado ZR2 derives power from the burly 6.2-liter V8 that makes 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, and the Bison is expected to brandish the same under the hood. The video also appears to show a very beefed-up differential, as well as a revised front bumper and pair of fog lights “illuminating double trouble” that looks a bit different than those on the ZR2. The 2023 Chevy ZR2 Bison will debut this summer, and it is expected to be officially on sale before year’s end.

This will give Chevy another very capable pickup with the added extras to suitably take on more than just a few stray pebbles in its way. The Hotcars.com team determined after a lengthy test drive that this truck has “immense athletic ability” and is that true and well-defined solution for tackling tough trail excursions. About a 3-hour drive east from Memphis will get you to Wooly’s Off-Road park, where for only 15$ per person you can enjoy world-class challenges and the very toughest of terrain!

2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 in Diesel Mode Bears “Huge Footprint and Unforgettable Capability”

All of us here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis have long been fans of the Chevy Silverado: the always ready to tow, haul, and put in more than a full workday attitude along with the ability to still rule the urban streets provides a very wide appeal. The 2022 Silverado 2500 is a pickup truck that resides in the XXL ¾ ton category that can tow up to 18,500 lbs and is offered in enough configurations to fit any very specific need or lifestyle. The 2500 was recently given a full-fledged showcase on the Newatlas.com blog and enjoys its position along with the rest that are situated in the over 80-inch-tall category.

Among the options are single cab, a double-sized cab, crew cab, and the very popular 4-door model. So many diehard truck fans are thrilled that the diesel engine has massive capabilities, but still can handle like a car, and many very useful and currently focused additives make perfect sense for ergonomic daily use. Depending on which equipment is involved, the 2022 Silverado 2500 HD can two anywhere from 14,500 to 18,500, and most of the difference between the lower and higher numbers is in where the powertrain choice lies.

The sensational 2500 6.6-Liter diesel and ten-speed mated transmission pushed up to nearly 20 mpg during a recent highway test. Seeing better fuel efficiency also means greater strength in the towing department, with cargo rated at 4,000 lb in either configuration and the Multi-Flex tailgate available on all Silverado 2500 trim levels. This additive will always provide better access, load handling capabilities, and all-around useful demeanor for the truck. One of the most prominent traits that every reviewer exclaims about the Silverado is that it’s very easy to drive regardless of its huge and bulky mass, along with the assistance of Chevy’s top-notch camera system.

Here you can benefit from both backing and 360-view cameras, as well as the advanced trailering system that provides 15 separate camera views up for visual grabs, with the ability to even “see-through” your attached trailer. Once you start the job of hauling or towing, this is when the Silverado 2500 delivers just what users expect and beyond, with confident braking, a class-leading smooth ride, and acceleration that is poised and ready to get the job done. There are so many reasons why this is the most capable and strongest Silverado ever.

The advanced trailer system provides a level of advancement and superiority that allows you to create customized trailer profiles that aid in hitching and towing, and the Chevy Mobile App on your device allows you to easily keep track of everything right in the palm of your hand. The Durabed offers more cargo volume than any HD competitor, and offers up 12 standard tie-downs, LED cargo area lighting, and a 120-volt outlet that is ideal for keeping your power tools always fully juiced and ready to go.

2023 Chevy Bolt and EUV Now Flaunt Much Lower Price as Alluring Customer Incentive

When electric cars finally became a daily reality here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis, the many federal tax credits available with purchase were one of the massive incentives for customers to purchase one. Everyone wants to feel as if they're doing good for the world and doing their part for a sustainable future, but America’s consumers also are very responsive to what tends to be the bottom line as far as cost out of their pocket.

With some of the initial federal tax credits available not in existence anymore, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV and EUV are experiencing a massive cut, offering a substantial amount off the 2022 model year’s official list price. Some national dealers such as us are a bit surprised to see any vehicle right now undergo a massive price cut since many EV manufacturers have had to take the opposite route and increase prices to make up for ongoing supply chain shortages.

We were happy to learn that GM is not under quite as much pressure right now as some of our competitors and is providing massive rewards for future Bolt customers with the same type of deal they would have received even if the federal tax credit situation was still ongoing. This will ultimately reflect our ongoing desire to assure that the Bolt EV/EUV both remain very viable in the workplace, and that affordability will remain a very high priority. This new pricing announcement will send the 2023 Bolt EV to the top of this new model lineup regarding pricing will also send the vehicle to the top of Motortrend.com’s list of their most affordable EVs currently on sale.

As the 2023 Bolt’s summer production schedule draws closer, GM officials announced more details about options for home charging that will also provide extremely competitive pricing. Many seasoned reviewers such as the Kelley Blue Book staff have enjoyed the Bolt’s narrow headlights, well-sculpted sides, and modern proportions. With its 259 miles of all-electric driving range, the Bolt EV has the spirit and stamina to outlast most of its competitors.

The modern model of regenerative braking does the duty of feeding power back to the 65 CWH lithium-ion battery pack. When you simply lift your foot off the gas pedal, the bolt can decelerate without needing much four on the actual brake pedal. DC fast charging is standard on all bolt EVs and here you can very quickly add 100 miles of all-electric range in just half an hour.

Lines Roaring to Life in the Lone Star State: 2023 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Production Dates Officially Released

The Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban are our two proudly XXL-sized and wildly popular SUVs here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis, and they were all given an overhaul for the 2021 model year. We have always had a high level of respect for the prompt and professional reporting from the staff at GM Authority, and this past week they had the story ready on when production for the 2023 models of this pair will begin!

Regular production of the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban will kick off on July 18th of this year, with both full-size models seeing production at the GM Arlington plant in Texas. The 2023 Chevy Tahoe now arrives as the third-model year for the current 12th generation nameplate and is the larger-sized of the two. It measures in with a wheelbase that’s 13.2 inches longer, an overall length that’s 15 inches longer, and an overall width that’s .1 inches wider. They both happen to be the same in regard to the engine offerings, which begin at the start of the lineup with the naturally aspirated 5.3-Liter V8 L84 gas engine, cranking out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.

The next step up the ladder is the naturally aspirated 6.2-Liter V8 L87 gas engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both SUVs are also available with the 3.0-Liter inline-6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, officially rated at 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. All three engines are paired with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission and ride on top of the GM T1 platform, and the independent multilink rear suspension introduced for last year’s model.

If you just don’t want to wait to come to see all the great opportunities for lease and ownership here at Chuck Hutton, the spring is a fantastic opportunity to check out the 2022 Chevy Suburban: it offers up swift acceleration, a very polished ride, expensive seating, and this amazing lineup of constantly flexed engines. New for this year was the expanded availability of the 6.2-liter V8, and this high-ranking and full-on Chevy special was ranked as the winner of the “Best Large SUV for Families” from U.S. News and World Report. The three-row Suburban has a deep interior and seating for 7 to 9 occupants, also now offering the most cargo space of any SUV in existence.

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe boasts a 12-inch digital driver information display as standard, the addition of the Buckle to Drive feature and Reverse automatic braking sees availability in the top five trims. The RST trim is now offered with a brand-new Sport Performance package and is the perfect form of competition to go up against the likes of the Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon, Toyota Sequoia and Nissan Armada. The base LS trim boasts 18-inch alloy wheels, and the Z71 offers a front skid plate contoured to emphasize the numerous off-roading abilities of this canyon and hill-crawl ready model.

Once the line in Arlington is humming along with the creation of this brawny and large pair, it won’t be long until you’ll be able to give them both a thorough test drive and see which one best meets your needs here at Chuck Hutton. Keep in mind that the turbocharged diesel is just a bit less thirsty than the gas number, and offers up some of the best traits in power source for anyone wanting to conquer the challenges of off-road excitement.

2023 Tahoe and Suburban will Both now Boast Modern Convenience of Hands-Free Super Cruise Feature

Here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis during these amazing late and very warm spring days, we savor every single customer interaction: we get to learn about the fun activities you all are going to do now that the weather is nicer and assist with you in finding the perfect vehicle for your needs. Two vehicles now coming in hot and looking to be equipped nicely for the weekend family outing has even another great thing going for them, as the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs are the latest vehicles to get the GM Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system.

Chevy had confirmed to us officially the availability of Super Cruise for the two SUVs in a press release Friday, and it’s an incredibly game-changing technology: it can completely control braking, acceleration, and steering on specific stretches of highway that have been pre-mapped. It also uses a complex driver-monitoring system to always be 100% sure that you are keeping your eyes properly on the road. GM had officially announced in March that there will be a total of 22 vehicles with some form of Super Cruise coming in for the 2023 model year, ushering highway driving into a completely new and futuristic era.

As time progresses, GM has plans to introduce a more advanced system for this called Ultra Cruise, assisting with some of the minor limitations drivers undergo with Super Cruise. The current Super Cruise feature is limited to about 200,000 miles of highway in the U.S. and Canada that are now sufficiently mapped, but the plan is implemented to use a door-to-door system in the future that will be functional on all paved public roads in the U.S. and Canada, as well as allowing hands-free operation during driving.

The 2023 Chevy Tahoe now enters its third model year after undergoing a complete redesign that left it with more passenger room, added ride comfort, and a wider array of new tech features. Most are expecting the Tahoe to come with a standard 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8, with the option to upgrade to either a 277-hp 6-cylinder turbodiesel or a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8. Each of these engines comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which provides very smooth and rapid shifting during any driving conditions.

The 2023 Chevy Suburban will be enticing drivers and enjoying XXL status during its third year of production for the generation, based on the new T1 platform. This provides a great balance between comfort and utility, and each version comes standard with independent rear suspension, drastically improving the ride quality and vital cargo capacity. Three rows of seats are standard, with a capacity to have 8 on board comfortably. The front seats are massively supportive, allowing you to stretch out for the long haul and enjoy world-class space. Some of the best additional options here are a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 10-speaker sound system, and dual 12.6-inch touchscreens.

Electric Camaro to Scorch the Straightaway Brandishing 700+ HP, Dawning of Purely-Sourced Power Era

The Wired blogging staff lamented over the past week that they understand how quickly punching in “Tesla drag race vs” into the YouTube search bar allows you to watch multiple versions of the world-famous brand’s electric cars doing battle with each other. Time after time, the videos depict the instant torque of the EV’s motors doing amazingly well off the line, leaving the squeal of tires ringing loudly in the ears of fans watching the tail lights move very rapidly forward.

It was almost 4 years ago that Chevy unveiled its bed by fully electrifying the monumental and trend-setting pony car in the form of the Camaro. It was back during a SEMA show in Vegas that the company revealed a battery-powered version of the legendary muscle car that was the eCOPO. Here you are prone to enjoy the brute-force benefits of more than 700 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque from the two 300-lb-ft torque motor assemblies. They are deftly bolted together and mated to a conventional racing transmission that is sturdy enough to send all the torque to the solid rear axle.

The eCOPO should be good for quarter-mile times that linger in the 9-second range, and as we intently watched here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis over the last year, the engineers were still running their final tests. We understand that putting up a 9.2-second quarter-mile time is amazing for an electric car, but the concept may get some mixed reactions from diehard Camaro fans who have tons of love for a real engine and have long enjoyed the history and legends surrounding the original.

Russ O’Blenes is the director of performance variants here, and as a proud owner of many big-block models was always in love with the sounds and smells of the power source everyone was long used to. Even though some of those valuable sentiments may be disappearing, it is in exchange for cleaner, more reliable dragsters that will do their part to light up the summer strip. It’s not just that electric motors are quicker, they can also go much longer periods of time between rebuilds than standard internal combustion engines usually do. This new concept uses an 800-volt battery that allows engineers to pump in needed electrons back in much quicker.

Much more testing of the eCOPO is going to be laid down before it is fully race-ready, and we know that the racing community will have its pulse checked as time and many races go on. The eCOPO’s battery is composed of four 200-volt modules: two under the rear seats and two in the trunk. For racing, engineers have surrounded the crash structures and roll cages, and added a battery-management system that will monitor the condition constantly. What was once thought of as very strange and non-traditional is now going to become the norm: we guarantee that the fun, spirit, and all-American festivity of drag racing will still remain the same even with the addition of the purely-electric and earth-friendly power source.

Carbuzz.com Leaks Some of the “Need to Know” Under-Wraps Corvette ZR1 Prototype Details

We have long admired here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis just how a superior foundation and frame can lead to results for driving and handling that effortlessly steal the show when you are heavily pounding on the accelerator and enjoying supercar daydreams in real life. As the staff on duty writing about everything regarding torque and horsepower at Carbuzz.com agreed, if the model range is as class-leading as the Chevy Stingray Coupe, it has provided the groundwork for a heightened sense of thrills that belong to a class truly within its own rite.

Boasting its naturally aspirated flat-plane crank V8, the brand-new Corvette Z06 has a tremendously beastly audio note from the exhaust and revs muscularly to well over 8,000 rpm. This is a noticeable step up from the base-level Corvette, but simply resides in the middle of the road compared to the upcoming C8 Corvette ZR1. Recently spotted by these experienced automotive bloggers in prototype form, it is expected to be one of the latest ‘Vettes to enjoy the authentic and very exclusive power source of a standard combustion engine. And what a legendary engine It will be: it has been spotted with full-body cladding and telltale center exhaust tips.

This V8 in question will be billed the “LT7” and is expected to crank out nearly 850 horsepower. This is almost 100 more horsepower than the previous-gen ZR1, which galloped up to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. The prototype was also spotted wearing extremely tidy HQ Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, with the upper trim levels donned in Pilot Sport Cup 2R versions. The ZR1 will use an 8-speed Tremec dual-clutch automatic transmission, and what was originally thought to be released as a hybrid could be a successful and exciting blast down piston and rod-infused memory lane.

The Carbuzz.com team had also recently shown their very own take here of the Hybrid E-Ray in action, with the wait for the powerful ZO6 C8 being over. With its mid-engine layout, the C8 will also introduce a plug-in hybrid billed as the E-Ray, spied last fall doing its thing on the outskirts of the famed and tricky-to-handle Nurburgring. The prototype spotted here combines a few different design elements from the Corvette ZO6 with a rear bumper from the Stingray, which has dual exhaust tips and a lack of distinguishable gas-powered engine audio.

According to many rumors, the Corvette E-Ray will source power from a 6.2-liter V8 paired alongside an electric motor on the front axle and should produce nearly 650 horsepower. This will also be the very first all-wheel-drive Corvette, supposedly allowing the E-Ray to hit 60 mph in just two blistering track-happy seconds. Before the all-electric models take precedence and act as judge and jury over the corner-huggers and throttle-enthused driver’s itinerary, models like this incoming ZR1 will keep alive a sense of passionate and unbridled excitement for every little change and chance to enjoy the open and always-beckoning road!

Chevy ZR2 to Launch Fully Capable AEV Bison Edition Equipped to Conquer any Off-Road Obstacle

So many of our loyal customers here at Chuck Hutton have let us know that they are completely enamored with the Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison: we do put our trust in the GM Authority team to always give us the full scoop regarding anything coming soon and current. They had spied a more rugged-looking Silverado ZR2 test prototype on the road last month, which featured a different front bumper design, more hidden wheels, and capable side rock rails.

The Bison’s initial stance will be mechanically like the standard ZR2 model, but with the Montana-sourced experts of AEV adding their well-spun magic in the departments of underbody protection, custom bumpers and off-road ready wheels. The custom-sourced sensational and primo power will be derived from the 6.2-Liter V8 L87 gas engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque while paired to a standard GM 10-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive. It is also expected to boast fog lamps, wheel moldings, front and rear floor liners, along with custom AEV embroidered headrests.

You’ll also be conquering the wild with the obligatory fuel tank and front skid plates, a transfer case skid plate, and 17-inch AEV Dark Graphite aluminum wheels. AEV is one of those companies that could never be just average and blew all of us here at Chuck Hutton away with their amazing aftermarket components such as the Matte Black Crestone Dualsport Wheel for the Colorado. It was the very first dedicated wheel for both the Chevy Colorado and Colorado ZR2 midsize pickups, with a split 6-spoke design that gives it an ultra-modern look while offering up the off-road chops DualSport Wheels are famous for.

The AEV and ZR2 collaboration takes this concept to another level entirely with the addition of a high capacity Warn Winch, the imperative additional skid plate protection, auxiliary lighting options, and the very trademark AEV HighMark Fender Flares. Since these trucks both have great suspension systems directly from the factory, the AEV ZR2 and ZR2 Bison now deliver un-rivaled off-road performance without compromising anything regarding ride quality, handling, or overall ride safety. One feature that just can’t at all be ignored? The snorkel with optional self-cleaning is available for the most severe of driving conditions.

Every single vehicle proudly constructed in AEV’s Wixom, Michigan headquarters includes a serial-numbered VIN plate, custom AEV exterior emblems, windshield banner, a custom gauge cluster overlay, and embroidered headrests. From the freshest streams and wildest rock-climbing faces you can find in the US to a very awesome and well-equipped drive around a lake such as Wolf River Nature Area right here near Memphis, this delicately balanced meeting of two great industry minds will make its mark for years for diehards who love to jump off-road and get gritty!

2022 Chevy Silverado Rallies Healthily for Joshua Tree Challenge: Righteously Right at Home in the Wilderness

The staff on duty at Car and Driver had long known that the rugged location that bears the name of an older (and greater!) U2 album was an opportune testing place for the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2. This barren and still very beautiful location was always appealing to us here at Chuck Hutton Chevy of Memphis as we knew fully that the 6.2-liter pushrod V8 was a prime and expertly-sourced motivational pull.

Lately the need for off-road trucks that bear true capability have been off the charts, as those seeking freedom everywhere are looking to climb boulders and ford streams further and further away with every single weekend beckoning them out of the confines of the cubicle. The ZR2 takes the Silverado’s existing Trail Boss tri level to an upper-level status with the addition of front and rear differentials, burly skid plates to protect the underside, and appropriately knobby 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires properly wrapped around the standard 18-wheels.

The ZR2 was designed to be a very lethal weapon for any type of trail, and compared to its competitors, the body is overall a bit narrow. Once the Car and Driver crew got the truck into the sheer depths of the challenges that Joshua Tree has to offer, this slimmed-down profile easily cleared the surrounding rock walls that the wider trucks would have to yield much more caution while navigating. Once your differentials are locked, the ZR2 can quickly climb the toughest of rock ledges, and the hill descent control allows speed adjustments of 1 mph by using the truck’s cruise control toggle.

When you are driving off road and really getting into the groove of things that the rough stuff offers, these can both cut down on the head-jerking motions that can stem from two-pedal off-road driving. The ZR2’s three-piece steel front bumper is a shining finish for anyone that has massive love for trail riding can appreciate, and is made possible by an approach angle of 31.8 degrees. The 3-chamber Multimatic spool-valve dampers are an upgrade here that do a fantastic job of removing the harshest qualities from the ride that some expert reviewers had complained about in the current-generation Silverado.

When this model hit the Joshua Tree’s harsh landscape to define its true and undeniably tough nature, the high-speed sections of the desert allowed for the trick dampers to really shine, softening impacts and managing wheel motions so the ZR2 never shimmies completely out of control. Boasting a maximum towing capacity of 8900 pounds, it’ll confidently tug more than both the competitors in the form of the boisterous TRX and Raptor. The ability to sneak in between foreboding rocks, get through tight spaces without breaking a sweat, and boast the all-around-best in show on dust and sand belongs to the ZR2, which we are paying close attention to for completely dominating the dedicated slick rock sector during 2022!

A Longstanding Champion In-Line for Collegiate Change: First 2023 Z06 Off the Line to Be Auctioned For Charity

The 2023 Corvette Z06 has now been officially announced as ready to be released soon for high-level excitement on the scene, and will be offering up high-octane thrills for the diehard fans right here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis as a brand-new next-level performance option in the mid-engine Chevy Corvette lineup. The very first retail production 2023 Corvette Z06 will be auctioned off for charity, as it is set to triumphantly cross the block at the 2022 Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Auction at the beautiful and sunny South Florida Fairgrounds.

Proceeds will go to benefit the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, which is the nation’s longstanding and largest organization exclusively representing historically black colleges and universities. Preserving predominantly black institutions while sourcing one of America’s finest and most furious cars on the track, the vehicle in question will be the top 3LZ trim level, with the successful bidder offered the opportunity to customize the very first retail production 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible however they wish. Multiple interior options, colors, wheels, and more are among the many ways you can make this ferocious and speed-ready contender a fixture of their own style.

This is also the very first time that a Z06 Convertible featured a hard-top retractable roof, and it is also equipped with the naturally aspirated 5.5-Liter V8 LT6 gasoline engine. This pushes the envelope delightfully hard and full-spirited, as its addition makes for the vehicle being rated at 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, with a limit-pushing 8,600-rpm redline as another added benefit. The 2023 Corvette Z06 rides on the same Y2 platform as the C8 Stingray, while production takes place amongst the hard-working men and women at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

Earlier this year, the very first retail production 2023 Corvette Coupe was auctioned off at a Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale event, with Rick Hendrick placing the winning bid at a startling $3.6 million. All the proceeds from the auction went to benefit the great individuals from the non-profit Operation Homefront, which helps to support military families who have special needs. We have always had a great amount of love for these initial auctions that do so much to engage the community and lend helping hands to different arenas of important history that are desperate for well-thought through preservation.

The 2023 Corvette Z06 Review at hand even made TV superstar Jay Leno immediately nostalgic for his 1963 Corvette and 1999 Corvette C5, and he was immediately in love with the cockpit’s vertical column of switches and buttons that were designed with space-saving in mind. The second-generation Corvette was the first to carry the prized Z06 badge, and it was back in 1963 that the radio was first mounted vertically. Two strengths made the Z06 possible: American engineering, and American manufacturing: we are proud that this amazing model’s finished product’s first release will be used for the greater good of the people that continuously backed it and made it possible in the first place!

Chevy Silverado Police Pursuit Pickup Primed for High-Speed Pursuits, Aces-High Handling During Enforcement

We have the utmost respect for the authorities in our area here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis, as we know they are always there to protect and serve our community through both tough and good times alike. The trucks of today are so feature-rich and awesome that it was only a matter of time before we would have one up and ready with custom-built flavor that is commanding and awesome enough to prove its worth on the force.

The Chevy Silverado Police Pursuit Vehicle is our brand’s first pursuit-rated pickup and is designed for both high-speed highway driving and lurching off-road to effectively patrol the far corners and tough terrain of the wild. This full-sized truck is based on the Silverado Z71, and features speed-rated all-terrain tires on 20-inch wheels, an off-road suspension with Rancho shock absorbers, skid plates, a locking rear differential for better traction on wet surfaces, and a chase-ready 355 hp 5.3-liter V8 with a heavy-duty air filter and the extra addition of 16-inch-high performance and very capable Brembo front brakes.

If the area is such that it requires even more height and clearance, there is a two-inch suspension lift that can make things easier if the good (or bad) guys happen to go where the ruts and ruckus are plentiful. The short-bed pickup is also now equipped with an upgraded electrical system to accommodate emergency vehicle electronics, necessary spotlights to illuminate the “Robber’s cave” any agent may encounter, and vinyl interior trim that is a snap to clean if mudding and landsliding happen to be on any suspect’s daily activity list!

There are also electronic driver aids from the civilian Silverado such as lane-keeping assist and optional adaptive cruise control to assure that things stay smooth while the APBs are minimal and nothing too hot is on tap. This Silverado PPV will offer a very viable option to the already available Chevy Tahoe PPV SUV and Ford F-150 Police Responder, as we know that every officer will have their own special preference when it comes to exactly how they are outfitted. We love to boast about the current-model Z71 available here now on the lot: it brandishes the 3.0-Liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6 with 277 horsepower, 460 lb-ft of torque, as well as the choice of the awesome-and-mighty 6.2-liter EcoTec V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

The 12.3-inch digital display is another feature that any officer on the job will appreciate, along with a sound system boasting stainless steel speaker grilles and the fully-optimal tune capabilities for any downtime or “paperwork while parked”. As budgets get deeper, the community continues to come together, and a nationwide economic recovery is largely at hand, we are very enthusiastic about the models we will customize for law enforcement agencies, and the long hours, tireless people on the job, and commitment to family they all make while out on the road every day.

The JDPower.com auto team reviewed a Corvette Stingray 2LT Coupe equipped with the Z51 Performance package, a front suspension lift system, a Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension, upgraded wheels, bucket seats, body-color exterior accents, tan seat belts, and chrome exterior badges. For decades, some of the Corvette’s critics have not been a fan of the Vette’s interior, thinking that the finish and overall quality were a bit lackluster. The new C8 has fully addressed all the issues within this category with very attractive high-quality leather, tighter panel gaps, and look and quality feel to materials that were previously not ranked by drivers as on the A-list.

Once inside the cockpit, it is easy to drink in just how driver-inspired it is: the squared-off steering wheel, push-button gear selector, and other stealth aerodynamics make you feel as if you are piloting a jet that is ready for liftoff yet ideally situated for high performance on land. The current-model Corvette covers the infotainment technology basics with its Chevy Infotainment 3 system, including an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto smartphone mirroring, Bluetooth audio streaming, voice recognition, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system. The final word after Jeff Young’s test drive here was that the emergence of the new ‘Vette is something special, and its “comparatively low price is a reason to celebrate”.

2024 Chevy Tahoe Refresh Prototype Spotted Undergoing Testing

Caught testing on public roads, the 2024 Tahoe is quite obviously sporting a new front fascia and revised rear fascia, both of which are covered in thick camouflage for this prototype model. It appears to have shown its face in the wild in the sporty RST trim, and the front end sports numerous camo cutouts that suggest a front facing camera and GM Super Cruise Semi-autonomous driver assist.

Last year, the Tahoe’s sales numbers rose more than 20 percent from 2020. This year’s model boasts responsive powertrains, a distinctive exterior design, and a spacious interior. It remains related to the Silverado in many ways, including riding fully on an independent suspension. It boasts a distinctive exterior design and spacious cabin that is ideal for hauling cargo and families.

The 6.2-liter V8 engine is now available on the Z71, RST, and Premier trims, and we are certain you’re going to immediately love this large-sized and always-ready SUV. The LT trim and above now have a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and Google Assistant will help navigate to any destination. This year’s Tahoe also comes with front and rear park assist, standard lane keep assist with lane departure warning, Buckle to Drive seatbelt reminder, and up to 13 available camera views to ensure maximum safety.

During the Motor Trend team’s in-depth testing for the 2022 model, they were impressed with its optional air spring and magnetic shock combo suspension setup as well as the extra goodies included with the Z71 off-road package. You can now obtain the lethal 6.2-liter V8 at this trim level, and it also throws in the electronic limited-slip differential that will provide better torque management and ability to drive with pure confidence. RWD is standard and 4WD is optional, and the engine produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, with the maximum towing stat residing at 8,300 lbs when equipped with RWD.

2022 J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Index Once Again Hails Bow-Tie Brand as Class-Leading and Superior Choice

As the weather begins to turn to the season that leads us to think about baseball games, getting out of town for some off-roading action, and spending time with our family and friends, so many customers are coming to us at Chuck Hutton of Memphis looking for the ideal vehicle. Many consumers who are on the hunt for their family or businesses’ perfect new SUV or truck are looking for one that has fared well in satisfaction indexes, as benchmark measurements for great performance are readily available.

Chevrolet ranked amazingly well in the recently published J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Customer Satisfaction Index, displaying a finish significantly above the segment average, and beating out big names like Volkswagen and Ford. The J.D. Power U.S. Customer Service Index Study measures the average satisfaction with service after completed repair or maintenance work and bases their review on five important metrics: service quality, advisory, vehicle pickup, facility conditions, and service initiations.

This year’s study also introduced changes such as valet, remote vehicle servicing, and how smoothly customers felt their online and smartphone app payment options were processed. Boasting a CSI score of 852 out of a possible 1,000, Chevy was above the industry average. Satisfaction is the highest among those who incorporated these online and mobile options, as customers realized they had a high level of enjoyment regarding the convenience and speed this offers.

You can’t go wrong with a vehicle like the awesome and always-ready 2022 Chevy Blazer: it offers cool, Camaro-inspired styling, sharp handling for an SUV, an excellent standard infotainment system, and a brand-new 2-tone roof option. The Blazer aptly competes with two-row crossovers such as the Ford Edge, Honda Passport, and Hyundai Santa Fe. The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4 engine now replaces the outgoing 2.5-liter non-turbo powertrain, and you’ll be enjoying a generous 64.2 cubic feet of the cargo hold with the rear seats folded down.

To keep up with competition, the 2022 Silverado you’ll find right here at Chuck Hutton was given a significant refresh for the year. There’s a new exterior design with an all-new grille and front fascia, the off-road-ready ZR2 model, more torque on the 2.7-liter engine, an increase in towing ability by 4,000 lbs on the diesel model, the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving aid, and animated lighting sequence upon approach on LT models and above. We know that Chevy will always be at the top of awards and satisfaction indexes, and we can’t wait to see how coming models and electrification will still be winning customers over with the excitement and refined quality of every new release!

GM Authority Provides Details on 2023 Chevy Bolt EV and EUV Production

In February of 2021, GM unveiled the refreshed 2022 Chevy Bolt EV and all-new 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV during a joint debut, and all of us here at Chuck Hutton Chevrolet were excited to see production details released on the GM Authority blog this past week. The 2023 Chevy Bolt EV and 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV are scheduled to begin production on May 9th at the GM Lake Orion Assembly plant in Michigan, with official order books opening March 10th.

Last year, there were a few different reasons why production of the Bolt EV and EUV were halted, and we have so many positive things to look forward to as progression takes place. The Chevy Bolt EV has received a segment-level award from IHS Markit during its 26th Annual Automotive Loyalty Awards. These aptly determine which vehicle makes and models can boast that they have the most dedicated and longstanding loyal customers, basing results on whether the home buys another vehicle that is made by the same brand.

The newly acquired vehicle may be either a replacement or any addition to the household’s collective fleet, and the Chevy Bolt EV received an IHS Markit Automotive Loyalty Award in the Small Car segment, repeating its successful claim from the previous year. This means Chevy Bolt EV buyers are highly likely to return to the dealership to make a repeat purchase, ushering in the future of cleaner energy and much longer charging ranges as a possibility. GM was the top overall manufacturer for loyalty in this study for the seventh consecutive year, and has managed to remain as the best automaker for overall customer loyalty, even after the global chip shortage.

Enjoying an interior much roomier than its size suggests, the redesigned 2022 Chevy Bolt EV also has enhanced features along with a much lower entry-level price. The current estimate is that the 2022 Bolt EV can travel up to 259 miles on a full charge, giving it an official advantage over the Hyundai Kona Electric, while the all-new 2022 Bolt EUV offers the modern convenience of Super Cruise hands-free driving. The hatchback adds a newly available dual-level charging cord, as well as increased Level 2 maximum charging capability.

The Bolt EV’s electric motor sends 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque exclusively to the front wheels and delivers a composed ride with plenty of available power for highway passing. During a unique and unorthodox test drive in California’s rough and sizzling Death Valley, the Car and Driver team was able to exceed the EPA’s 259-mile estimated driving range with ease. Every Bolt EV features a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with popular standard features, which allows for over-the-air updates and offers built-in apps that work with both Spotify and Amazon Alexa music streaming services.

2022 Chevy Tahoe will Haul Your Family, Brandish Huge Cargo Hold, Exude Higher-End Style

One thing that we can say for sure about our awesome 2022 lineup here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis is that the brand-new Chevy Tahoe is a vehicle that brandishes awesome capability and still has an extreme amount of versatility despite its size. It was just overhauled for 2021, but the bow tie brand is working to make the Tahoe more appealing and top-of-the-line by the day.

The brand-new model now has a larger 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster on most trims, front and rear parking sensors, lane-keeping assist standard across the range. The off-road-ready Z71 models now provide an electronic limited-slip rear differential option, a few new awesome exterior colors, and the high and mighty 6.2-liter V8 engine. You can now obtain the awesome powertrain in the RST, Z71, and Premier trims.

The Tahoe always feels bigger behind the wheel than its competitors, and it provides a nice sense of power and added stature on the road. There is a huge allotment of room in all three rows, ensuring every passenger along for the ride will be comfortable. The sliding and reclining second-row seats offer plenty of support for long trips and the optional dual 12.6-inch infotainment screens will keep passengers behind you entertained with their own choice of DVD or gaming distraction.

There is now 25.5 cubic feet of cargo hold behind the third row, and after dropping the split power-folding backrest, it increases to 72.6 cubes worth of valuable travel space. If you want to fold down the second-row chairs, you’ll be up to 122.9 cubic feet, which is more cargo-hauling room than the Ford Expedition Max. The Premier trim level offers brushed-metal brightwork to visually up the ante, and all of the climate controls are easy to use and within the driver’s reach.

The infotainment system has a huge range of Google services including the all-important Play store as well as apps for current news, vital navigation, and podcasts. The 10-speed transmission decidedly makes the Tahoe the confident yet serene current model it is. With the 6.2-liter engine, this 4-wheel drive example is rated to haul up to 8,400 pounds when properly equipped. An excellent option that nails the fundamentals needed for today’s serious drivers, the Tahoe is well-rounded and armed with amenities to satisfy even the choosiest driver!

Next-Generation Chevy Models May Roll in on Airless Tires

Through the years, there have been some beautiful rims spinning on Silverados, Camaros, and Blazers rolling down the street in style. Michelin has announced they are working with GM to develop airless tires for a next-generation Chevy Bolt electric model, expected to be available to the public in just a few years.

While this could potentially mark the end of over 130 years of traditional tires, it also could also mark the end of deflated or punctured tires. GM is working on a wide variety of electric vehicles, including ones in an affordable price range like the Bolt. Both Michelin and GM have tested the airless tire on current-generation Bolt cars.

The disadvantages of filling tires with pressurized air have been evident for quite some time: air can leak, and every tire can be punctured by harsh elements on the road. Tire makers have spent over a century coming up with ways to minimize punctures and keep air inside tires, and Michelin’s airless tire design poses the natural reliance of flexible ribs for spring action.

There are a few reasons why tires without air haven’t been used on passenger cars much during the last century, as pressurized air is good for off-roading. As these masters of their sport navigate the trail, they reduce the air pressure in the tires, which allows the tire to flatten out and create a larger footprint on the terrain they have set out to conquer. Michelin is trying to make sure that these new tires behave with many of the same properties as traditional air-filled tires.

Lawnmowers and other off-road vehicles such as ATVs use what is known as the X Tweel, which is said to have a longer lifespan than regular tires and wheels and offer a ride without as much additional bounce. How will consumers accept all this drastic change? We think that they will love avoiding the hassle and time-consuming mess of a flat tire!

2023 Vs. 2022 Blazer: How the Newest Models Measure Up

The 2023 Blazer is now scheduled to arrive as the fifth model year for its very popular nameplate here at Chuck Hutton Chevy of Memphis, and we are excited to provide you an in-depth look at what the differences are between the incoming and outgoing models. The bloggers at GM Authority produced an  awesome feature last week that compares the sporty RS Trim levels!

Up front, the refreshed 2023 Blazer now sports a new fascia, and the corners of the front end show off devised daytime running lights that are longer and thinner than those on the 2022 model. The overall profile still looks quite similar, with a two-tone roof, a new alloy wheel design, and multiple new spokes that provide an upgraded and more modern feel.

The rear end updates the overall appearance with brand-new tail light graphics, wrapping in gradually from the fenders to the rear hatch. The powertrain is GM’s turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 LSY gas engine seen in the 2023 Blazer 2LT, 3LT and Premier trim levels, which produces 228 horsepower and 258 lb-feet of torque. The other option is the naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 LGX gas engine, rated at 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, with both featuring front-wheel drive with GM’s 9-speed automatic transmission.

There’s so much to love about this modern SUV that has prime tech, styling, and convenience features. Quiet, comfortable, and roomy was how the Consumerreports team described the 2022 RS after their first drive. Each Blazer now leaves the factory with lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

What do growing families and recent graduates love most about the Blazer? How about a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, 8-inch touchscreen, six speakers, satellite radio, and two front and two rear USB ports! In addition to all of its safety upgrades, the 3LT’s Sound and Technology Package provides navigation, a rear power outlet, and 8-speaker Bose sound system. The Driver Confidence II Package available on the RS and Premier provides wireless charging, and upgrading to the Premier trim for either year’s model provides chrome exterior accents, silver roof rails, and machine-finished 20-inch aluminum wheels.

Everyone here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis has been looking forward to all updates we can get our hands on for the refreshed Chevy Silverado 1500. The 1500 launch date was pushed back for many reasons involving the supply chain, and this tool will allow users to select their preferred powertrain, body configuration, trim level, exterior and interior colors, all while being available on March 3rd.

Dealers such as us can place orders for the refreshed 2022 Silverado 1500 and have been doing so since the very first order cycle went into effect nearly six weeks ago. Last September was when the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 was officially unveiled to the public and showcased new technology features, along with an all-new interior design. You can pick the 2.7-L I4 L3B gas engine that now produces 20 percent more torque for a grand total of 430 lb-ft.

The proud builders that piece together the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 are at it every day in the GM Fort Wayne Assembly Facility in Indiana and among the men and women of the GM Oshawa plant in Canada. There is a hefty discount in February regarding the Silverado as well with $750 Select Market Competitive Cash, interest-free financing for 48 months on the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 models and on the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Limited. In addition, a national lease is now available for $329 per month for 24 months on the 2021 Silverado Crew Cab Work Truck with the turbocharged 2.7-Liter I4 L3B engine.

Here you can thoroughly check out the nation’s favorite truck looks in Summit White, which is only available in conjunction with the Jet Black interior colorway. It has the particular example presenting itself in a Crew Cab, Short Bed body configuration, which is the style offered for the off-road-focused and trail-ready ZR2 model. The 2022 Silverado ZR2 rolls on a set of 18-inch aluminum machined faced wheels featuring Black Painted spokes and Oxide Gold painted outer ring accents. It is also now available with optional 18-inch Gloss Black wheels wrapped in knobby 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires.

GM is now expanding its electric vehicle offerings to include a battery-driven version, which was revealed this year during the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show. We are proud to announce that over 110,000 reservations have been made in advance.

Chevy Bolt EV, Bolt EUV Production Will Carry on During Orion Plant Rebuild

As the past two years have drastically changed the timeliness and the ways in which supply chains affect every little corner of the auto business, we strive for perfection here every day at Chuck Hutton Chevy of Memphis! We are excited to note lately that our Michigan-based facilities are fully up and running! A hefty investment recently sank into the GM Orion Facility for the production of the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV. It was recently announced that production of the Chevy Bolt EV and Bolt EUV will continue during the necessary conversion process.

The conversion of the facility has begun immediately, with significant expansion of the site to include the additives of new body and paint shops, brand-new general assembly, and battery pack assembly areas. After the conversion reaches completion. GM estimates that this facility will now provide jobs to an additional 2,350 workers with fully-fledged production of the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV to begin in 2024. While solidifying the EV’s future that will excite so many consumers not needing to stop at the pump, both the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV ride on top of the BEV2 platform.

GM is ramping up its all-electric vehicle offerings with plans to launch 30 brand-new EV models globally by 2025 as EV sales in the U.S rose 89 percent during the last year. The closely studied figures also revealed a 71.8% increase in EV sales during Q4 of 2021, with inventory not being as impacted by the ongoing microchip shortage as in some industries. The 2022 Bolt’s new front fascia trades in a toy-like look from the previous model for something a bit more premium and adult-oriented in appearance.

The 2022 Bolt features an all-new center console that connects more naturally to the dashboard than the floating design before it. The shift lever is now replaced with a sweet vertical bank of PRND buttons and one set aside for the one-pedal driving mode. The cabin features showcase Chevy’s user profile system which accommodates perfectly for multiple driver preferences. It includes detailed menus for closely monitoring the energy impact of various vehicle systems, charge scheduling, and the ability to limit the charge level to maximize battery health over an extended time.

Many new EV buyers will be excited to hear that home charging is going to get potentially faster with this year’s upgrade to 11.5-kW Level 2 charging! It reduces the time to around seven hours instead of the ten-hour estimate if you plug in the dual-level charging cord directly into a NEMA 14-50 outlet. The Sport mode is what the testing staff on duty at Cnet.com thought was vigorously prepared for audiences with 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of instant electric torque, feeling fantastic off the line in either mode. Each 2022 Bolt comes standard with a rear-view camera, forward pre-collision alerts with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alerts and automatic high beams.
