Prepped for the Trail: Details of 2022 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss Released

The upcoming dealer-installed Trail Boss package for the 2022 Chevy Colorado equips you for journeys to the most exciting destinations: the ones furthest outside the city limits! You'll be crushing any obstacle in your path, courtesy of a 1-inch front leveling kit, front and mid-vehicle skid plates, black 17-inch aluminum wheels, black Colorado and Bow Tie emblems, and red front tow hooks.

Adding the Trail Boss package to a Z71-trim Colorado also brings Goodyear Duratrac tires and an automatic locking rear differential. The engine selections are top-notch for this capable and mid-sized segment, including the base 2.5-L gasoline I-4, 6L gasoline V-6, and 2.8-L Duramax I-4 diesel.

When it comes to trucks, there's tons to love about diesel. The 2022 Colorado will sport a 2.8-liter turbocharged inline-4 with 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque and 6-speed automatic transmission. Cargo won't pose any problems during the haul with a max payload of 1,550 pounds and 7,700 pounds of towing ability. The deletion of the air dam allows Trail Boss buyers to get a glance of the package's added front and middle skid plates, and the transfer case guard on the Z71.

A Trail Boss package was previously offered five years ago, but went on the back burner when the ZR2 hit the public. The current-model Colorado also comes equipped with a rearview camera and Teen Driver system as standard safety features, with the ability to select from lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors. During NHTSA testing, the Colorado also earned an admirable 4-star safety rating overall.

You'll love the perfect middle between the Z71 and ZR2 this package provides. Customer reviews are the best way to gauge how successful a release is, and one reviewer from Milwaukee claimed the 2021 Colorado“is a stronger-than-ever workhorse that rides as smooth and quiet as the best luxury cars available!”

2021 Chevy Blazer Reigns Supreme For Storage Space, Stands Out Against Rival Crossovers

Here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis and all over the nation, SUVs keep rising in popularity. Last year, they accounted for half of all vehicles sold in the United States. Because SUVs happen to be what so many buyers are after, there is no shortage of different choices for you to look at before making your final decision.

Chevy has recently resurrected the Blazer, and although it does not fall into the exact same category as the original, it is brimming with great features that Hotcars.com detailed last week. Like most current SUVs, it is more for the busy suburban family than for the expert off-roader. The Hotcars.com editors deemed the new SUV supremely stylish, as the Blazer will never appear to be bland. The fascia up front is similar to the sporty Camaro’s, and the tailgate pays homage to the mighty and muscular pony car as well.

If you are searching for an awesome and family-friendly SUV, cargo space is sure to be high-up on your wish list. The Blazer boasts around 30.5 feet worth of storage space located behind the rear seats and 64.2 ft with the seats down.

Three children can fit comfortably in the back during the drive, and there is no shortage of modern gadgets to keep everyone occupied. You'll be enjoying Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth, and a mobile WiFi hotspot. One Chevy standard feature that is tough to find elsewhere is Amazon Alexa's ability to control every compatible device on board, directly from the driver's seat.

Any busy commuter will fall in love with the 2021 Blazer immediately. The 3.6-liter V6 takes the winner's spot for the engine, and when equipped with all-wheel drive and 9-speed automatic transmission, you'll be benefiting from about 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. This enables you to tow 4,500 lbs!

2022 Silverado 1500 to Debut With New Styling, Switch to Global B Architecture

Summers at Chuck Hutton of Memphis are always busy with customers asking about trucks that are prepared to take them for a weekend at the lake, and the Silverado takes the cake. The staff at GM Authority confirmed last week that the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 is coming, although just slightly later than planned.

The new styling begins with a revised front and rear fascia and the removal of the “sideburn” air curtains. The 2022 Silverado will also now feature an overhauled cabin space, brand-new dash, center stack and center console, and the highly-requested larger infotainment screen. The screen will provide navigation details, audio entertainment, and an overall view of vital mechanical functions taking place while driving.

The 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 will use the all-new Global B electrical architecture, which enables the Super Cruise semi-autonomous drive system that allows for hands-free driving on major roads that are separated from any opposing traffic. The 2022 1500 line will also introduce the Silverado ZR2 off-roader, as well as the Silverado Limited. The Limited offers identical content to the pre-update 2021 model year Silverado, and boasts the same trim levels, options, exterior colors, and interior colors.

A satisfied customer sharing their experience on the KBB review forum claimed that their 2021 Silverado was purchased in the custom trim, and they have been thrilled with their purchase since the day they drove it off the lot. Their towing capacity is 9,600 lbs, and the 310 horsepower with 348 lb-ft of torque is adequate for passing on the highway as well as quick get-up-and-go factor in town. Driving her Silverado to the job site and graduate class sessions every single day, she was also loving the 19 city and 22 highway EPA gas mileage.

Many truck lovers that are eager to jump offroad and test the Silverado’s trail chops are excited about the Silverado ZR2 model. This model comes with the Bison package and adds features such as AEV front and rear bumpers and unique 17-inch wheels. A true champion in the full-size segment since its original launch in 2017, the Silverado 1500’s many engine offerings, affordable price, and world-class support from us here at Chuck Hutton make it stand out when pitted against the competition.

Chevy Gains Ground In Supertruck Game: High-Performance ZR2 Model In The Works

Here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis, the summer holiday season is an excellent time to get excited about trucks: hauling the jet skis and wakeboards out to the lake, that mulch project you may have been putting off, and thinking about moving someone to college efficiently are all easier with the assistance of an ideal rig. GM is now making detailed plans to get into the supertruck game and has confirmed that they will soon debut a high-performance Silverado ZR2 model that could rival the F-150 Raptor and Ram 1500 TRX.

A short teaser found online featured a truck driving through mud that was posted on various social media sites, but doesn't reveal too much besides the name. However, you can definitely make out a V8 engine roaring underneath the music. The Colorado ZR2 is the current offering for off-road fun from the Chevy lineup and has gained much appreciation for its long-travel suspension, which is based around a set of Multimatic velocity-sensitive dampers that mechanically adjust their stiffness depending on road input.

These dampers allow the truck to catch air at high speeds off road. The Silverado ZR2 teaser does not indicate that the truck will incorporate the same technology, but Chevy has built an off-road racing Silverado that some have assumed was a test bed for an upcoming model that had a bit more in common with the ZR2's form and function.

It is not yet officially known how much power will be under the Silverado ZR2's hood, but it is guaranteed that the suspension will be top tier, as the ZR2 still depends on the standard V6 and turbodiesel inline-four offered on other models. A detailed look at today’s Silverado lineup reveals a 420 hp 6.2-liter V8.

With spool valve shocks to boost its off-road ability and an underside that is armored to handle the roughest of terrain, the ZR2 also boasts a look that boosts function. The most precise handling in damping control, greatly improved cooling function, and the ability to handle off-road conditions are sure to fully equip this new truck for the challenges that boulders, rocks, and fast-running streams present. The Motor Trend staff claimed “something wicked this way wheels”, and they couldn't be more spot on!
