2022 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss vs. Colorado ZR2

The 2022 Chevy Colorado is bringing snow-capped holiday cheer this season, and many of our customers are eagerly awaiting the details on new additions and capabilities that solidified our favorite truck’s appeal! The new Trail Boss Package adds boosted capability to the already tried-and-true Colorado LT and Z71 trim levels, and GM Authority wanted to show everyone how the Trail Boss ranks against the ZR2 for towing and other necessary goods.

The Trail Boss trim with towing bragging rights is the LT Crew Cab Short Box with the 3.6-liter LGZ V6, which maxes out at 1,536 lbs towing capacity. The Colorado ZR2 with the same configuration boasts a payload of 1,250 lbs, and the Bison model can pull 1,100 lbs. Don’t worry too much about how the Bison finished in the pecking order. It’s a hunter’s or fisherman’s dream truck and embodies the go-anywhere spirit that adventurers are looking for.

The Extended Cab Long Box body style with the LG V6 provides the largest payload numbers for the ZR2, maxing out at 1,350 lbs. The Duramax turbodiesel 2.8-Liter LWN I-4 engine boasts a 7,700-lb rating, while the Colorado ZR2’s maximum is 5,000 pounds in every configuration.

The Colorado Trail Boss sports an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined. The Trail Boss gives you the ultimate mix of off-road capability and winning towing power. The ZR2’s Multimatic DSSV dampers make a sacrifice in the name of offering the viable allure of extreme off-road capability.

With a diverse selection of strong engines, amazing handling, and greatly-improved interior quality, the 2022 Trail Boss is the exciting model that Car and Driver called “compelling and consistently game-changing.” All trims now have restyled front ends, along with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Don’t forget to feast your eyes on the range-topping High Country model: it can be optioned with the game-changing technology and hands-free driving of Super Cruise, along with leather upholstery and incredibly eye-catching open-pore wood trim.

2022 Chevy Corvette’s Power and Performance Bargain Secure Its Spot on Car and Driver’s 10Best List

Some of the Chevy Corvette’s most amazing traits are the high quality and performance that set it apart from so many other cars and trucks on the market.

For the 23rd time, the Corvette has secured a spot on the Car and Driver 10Best List. It is quicker on a track than anything else on the list, including the Porsche Boxster and Cayman. It maximizes its abilities for speed and lap times with a world-class supercar flair. There are now more customization options for the interior, seatbelt choices, and brake-caliper paint hues.

Whether you are driving the convertible or standard targa, the roof can be quickly removed. Once you get into the low cockpit and absorb the power, the 490 or 495-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 combined and dual-clutch automatic can propel you to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.

The 2023 model improves on the Corvette’s already supercar-caliber performance. Eventually, there may be an AWD hybrid Corvette E-Ray with the same legendary Corvette performance and a newfound penchant to powerfully protect the environment.

The 2022 Corvette has seen updates to its V8 engine calibration and direct injection fuel system, and a Z51 front splitter design is to be offered on non-Z51 models. You can choose to color your machine in Amplify Orange Tintcoat, Caffeine, or Hypersonic Gray hues, and this year also offers the choice of IMSA GTLM Championship Edition units. Based on the higher-end 3LT trim with the Z50 Performance Package, this model includes a high-wing spoiler in Carbon Flash trim, Black Trident wheels with yellow brake calipers, black side rockers, and a C8.R Special Edition themed plaque.

2023 Chevy Camaro Gifted C8 Chevy Corvette’s LT2 V8 for Holiday Season

The 2023 Camaro is likely going to be equipped with the naturally aspirated 6.2-Liter V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which is the fiercely capable power source for the C8 Chevy Corvette Stingray.

This would replace the 6.2-Liter V8 LT1 gasoline engine that is currently found under the hood of the Chevy Camaro SS and LT1 trim levels, which was rated at 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. The LT1 engine is built at GM’s Tonawanda plant, a hard-working industrial beacon creating Chevy products in Buffalo, New York.

The current-model ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that delivers over 650 horsepower, 650 lb-ft of torque, and the old-school feel of a six speed manual transmission boasting Active Rev Matching. You can still opt for the available paddle-shift 10-speed automatic transmission. You can also enjoy the poise and positioning on the pavement of 19-inch low gloss black-painted forged aluminum wheels. You’ll be scorching through the turns and straightaways with assistance from the available performance copper-free brake system, a unique front splitter, and the exposed-weave carbon-fiber hood insert and rear wing.

The Shock and Steel Special Edition features a racing-inspired center stripe, a Rapid Blue, Summit White, Satin Steel Metallic or Black exterior color, and 20-inch blade-design aluminum wheels. There’s a black fuel-filler door with visible carbon-fiber insert, carbon flash metallic-painted mirrors, and the astronomical stopping power of Brembo 4-piston performance yellow-painted brake calipers. The Camaro is a great example of legendary automobile performance and will prove to be an even more popular choice with this brand-new powertrain option.

2022 Silverado High Country Midnight Concept Introduced at 2021 SEMA Show

A decadently blacked-out version of the 2022 Chevy Silverado High Country made its first appearance for the truck fans at the 2021 SEMA Show this week.

This concept trades in the stock chrome exterior trim and accessories for gloss-black painted pieces, giving the vehicle a stealthy outside appearance. The black-painted grille inserts, black Chevy bowtie logos, black High Country fender logos, 20-inch gloss black Chevrolet Accessories wheels, and black anodized exhaust bezels tie things together while pleasantly embracing the darker side of design. With other available Chevy accessories available at Chuck Hutton Chevrolet, you’ll be able to personalize the truck and claim ownership of the night!

The model has a high-end exterior appearance with a two-tone bronze and chrome grille, chrome window and mirror trim, and 20-inch city or trail-ready aluminum wheels. Even with the extra dark bits adding visual character, the concept keeps most of the standard specs as what is already available on the High Country. You’ll still have heated and ventilated 10-way power front driver’s and passenger’s seats, the all-important wireless charging pad, a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, and an immaculate Bose premium audio setup.

We are not yet positive if this version will be for mass production or an exciting and brand-new High Country Midnight Concept, and this final decision could be heavily dependent on how the public responds at SEMA. 87% of attendees plan to actually order products from SEMA exhibitors this year, and a strong 65% are coming to check out what new vendors have to offer. Education day seminars, a star-studded awards reception and banquet, and the hottest and future-ready cars all provide the backdrop to one of Chevy’s highest-attended events.

This top-of-the-line High Country edition features open-pore wood, and the updated Silverado trims now come with a configurable 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with a 13.4-inch touchscreen situated at the center. Paired together with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Chevy’s new infotainment system includes Google’s voice assistant, app store, and maps. The infamous Super Cruise system is also available on the High Country, allowing the driver to go hands-free under certain conditions!

2022 Chevy Equinox Furnishes Four New Wheel Sets

There is nothing more exciting than a new product announcement! GM Authority previewed what to expect for the 2022 Chevy Equinox, and they were particularly excited about the five available wheel sets.

One of the new sets is an aluminum wheel that features a split five-spoke design with a bright aluminum finish and dark gray base. It’s a PJR format that shares the same design as the PJS wheel, sporting a lighter and less monotone color. The new PJR wheel is available on the 2022 Equinox’s LT and Premier trims. Another eye-catching option is the RV8 tire model, an edgy face and glossy number with silver pockets for the 1LT.

All  2022 Equinox drivers will enjoy the new front and rear ends, a brand-new RS trim level, and other great new features. With tons of available passenger space, agile handling, and awesome infotainment features, there are many reasons why the Equinox is one of the most popular crossovers on the market today. The RS model adds sporty cues such as dark 19-inch wheels and ideally blacked-out exterior trim.

The mid-level LT trim is the Car and Driver testing crew’s favorite. They loved the chrome exterior trim, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, Sirius XM satellite radio entertainment, and high-intensity discharge headlights. The Confidence and Convenience Package now includes blind-spot monitoring, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear cross-traffic alert, a power liftgate, and remote start. The Equinox has always outperformed the competition with its excellent day-to-day drive feel, authentic design, and competitive pricing.

The Premier model is for anyone looking to drive on the more luxurious side of the road. French stitching beautifully accents the inside, and gloss-black chrome, LED headlights, and a logo projection on the power tailgate highlight the exterior. Every new Chevy Equinox also includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and IntelliBeam automatic headlights.
