Lines Roaring to Life in the Lone Star State: 2023 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Production Dates Officially Released

The Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban are our two proudly XXL-sized and wildly popular SUVs here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis, and they were all given an overhaul for the 2021 model year. We have always had a high level of respect for the prompt and professional reporting from the staff at GM Authority, and this past week they had the story ready on when production for the 2023 models of this pair will begin!

Regular production of the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and 2023 Chevy Suburban will kick off on July 18th of this year, with both full-size models seeing production at the GM Arlington plant in Texas. The 2023 Chevy Tahoe now arrives as the third-model year for the current 12th generation nameplate and is the larger-sized of the two. It measures in with a wheelbase that’s 13.2 inches longer, an overall length that’s 15 inches longer, and an overall width that’s .1 inches wider. They both happen to be the same in regard to the engine offerings, which begin at the start of the lineup with the naturally aspirated 5.3-Liter V8 L84 gas engine, cranking out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque.

The next step up the ladder is the naturally aspirated 6.2-Liter V8 L87 gas engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both SUVs are also available with the 3.0-Liter inline-6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, officially rated at 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. All three engines are paired with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission and ride on top of the GM T1 platform, and the independent multilink rear suspension introduced for last year’s model.

If you just don’t want to wait to come to see all the great opportunities for lease and ownership here at Chuck Hutton, the spring is a fantastic opportunity to check out the 2022 Chevy Suburban: it offers up swift acceleration, a very polished ride, expensive seating, and this amazing lineup of constantly flexed engines. New for this year was the expanded availability of the 6.2-liter V8, and this high-ranking and full-on Chevy special was ranked as the winner of the “Best Large SUV for Families” from U.S. News and World Report. The three-row Suburban has a deep interior and seating for 7 to 9 occupants, also now offering the most cargo space of any SUV in existence.

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe boasts a 12-inch digital driver information display as standard, the addition of the Buckle to Drive feature and Reverse automatic braking sees availability in the top five trims. The RST trim is now offered with a brand-new Sport Performance package and is the perfect form of competition to go up against the likes of the Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon, Toyota Sequoia and Nissan Armada. The base LS trim boasts 18-inch alloy wheels, and the Z71 offers a front skid plate contoured to emphasize the numerous off-roading abilities of this canyon and hill-crawl ready model.

Once the line in Arlington is humming along with the creation of this brawny and large pair, it won’t be long until you’ll be able to give them both a thorough test drive and see which one best meets your needs here at Chuck Hutton. Keep in mind that the turbocharged diesel is just a bit less thirsty than the gas number, and offers up some of the best traits in power source for anyone wanting to conquer the challenges of off-road excitement.

2023 Tahoe and Suburban will Both now Boast Modern Convenience of Hands-Free Super Cruise Feature

Here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis during these amazing late and very warm spring days, we savor every single customer interaction: we get to learn about the fun activities you all are going to do now that the weather is nicer and assist with you in finding the perfect vehicle for your needs. Two vehicles now coming in hot and looking to be equipped nicely for the weekend family outing has even another great thing going for them, as the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs are the latest vehicles to get the GM Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system.

Chevy had confirmed to us officially the availability of Super Cruise for the two SUVs in a press release Friday, and it’s an incredibly game-changing technology: it can completely control braking, acceleration, and steering on specific stretches of highway that have been pre-mapped. It also uses a complex driver-monitoring system to always be 100% sure that you are keeping your eyes properly on the road. GM had officially announced in March that there will be a total of 22 vehicles with some form of Super Cruise coming in for the 2023 model year, ushering highway driving into a completely new and futuristic era.

As time progresses, GM has plans to introduce a more advanced system for this called Ultra Cruise, assisting with some of the minor limitations drivers undergo with Super Cruise. The current Super Cruise feature is limited to about 200,000 miles of highway in the U.S. and Canada that are now sufficiently mapped, but the plan is implemented to use a door-to-door system in the future that will be functional on all paved public roads in the U.S. and Canada, as well as allowing hands-free operation during driving.

The 2023 Chevy Tahoe now enters its third model year after undergoing a complete redesign that left it with more passenger room, added ride comfort, and a wider array of new tech features. Most are expecting the Tahoe to come with a standard 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8, with the option to upgrade to either a 277-hp 6-cylinder turbodiesel or a 420-hp 6.2-liter V8. Each of these engines comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which provides very smooth and rapid shifting during any driving conditions.

The 2023 Chevy Suburban will be enticing drivers and enjoying XXL status during its third year of production for the generation, based on the new T1 platform. This provides a great balance between comfort and utility, and each version comes standard with independent rear suspension, drastically improving the ride quality and vital cargo capacity. Three rows of seats are standard, with a capacity to have 8 on board comfortably. The front seats are massively supportive, allowing you to stretch out for the long haul and enjoy world-class space. Some of the best additional options here are a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 10-speaker sound system, and dual 12.6-inch touchscreens.

Electric Camaro to Scorch the Straightaway Brandishing 700+ HP, Dawning of Purely-Sourced Power Era

The Wired blogging staff lamented over the past week that they understand how quickly punching in “Tesla drag race vs” into the YouTube search bar allows you to watch multiple versions of the world-famous brand’s electric cars doing battle with each other. Time after time, the videos depict the instant torque of the EV’s motors doing amazingly well off the line, leaving the squeal of tires ringing loudly in the ears of fans watching the tail lights move very rapidly forward.

It was almost 4 years ago that Chevy unveiled its bed by fully electrifying the monumental and trend-setting pony car in the form of the Camaro. It was back during a SEMA show in Vegas that the company revealed a battery-powered version of the legendary muscle car that was the eCOPO. Here you are prone to enjoy the brute-force benefits of more than 700 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque from the two 300-lb-ft torque motor assemblies. They are deftly bolted together and mated to a conventional racing transmission that is sturdy enough to send all the torque to the solid rear axle.

The eCOPO should be good for quarter-mile times that linger in the 9-second range, and as we intently watched here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis over the last year, the engineers were still running their final tests. We understand that putting up a 9.2-second quarter-mile time is amazing for an electric car, but the concept may get some mixed reactions from diehard Camaro fans who have tons of love for a real engine and have long enjoyed the history and legends surrounding the original.

Russ O’Blenes is the director of performance variants here, and as a proud owner of many big-block models was always in love with the sounds and smells of the power source everyone was long used to. Even though some of those valuable sentiments may be disappearing, it is in exchange for cleaner, more reliable dragsters that will do their part to light up the summer strip. It’s not just that electric motors are quicker, they can also go much longer periods of time between rebuilds than standard internal combustion engines usually do. This new concept uses an 800-volt battery that allows engineers to pump in needed electrons back in much quicker.

Much more testing of the eCOPO is going to be laid down before it is fully race-ready, and we know that the racing community will have its pulse checked as time and many races go on. The eCOPO’s battery is composed of four 200-volt modules: two under the rear seats and two in the trunk. For racing, engineers have surrounded the crash structures and roll cages, and added a battery-management system that will monitor the condition constantly. What was once thought of as very strange and non-traditional is now going to become the norm: we guarantee that the fun, spirit, and all-American festivity of drag racing will still remain the same even with the addition of the purely-electric and earth-friendly power source.

Carbuzz.com Leaks Some of the “Need to Know” Under-Wraps Corvette ZR1 Prototype Details

We have long admired here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis just how a superior foundation and frame can lead to results for driving and handling that effortlessly steal the show when you are heavily pounding on the accelerator and enjoying supercar daydreams in real life. As the staff on duty writing about everything regarding torque and horsepower at Carbuzz.com agreed, if the model range is as class-leading as the Chevy Stingray Coupe, it has provided the groundwork for a heightened sense of thrills that belong to a class truly within its own rite.

Boasting its naturally aspirated flat-plane crank V8, the brand-new Corvette Z06 has a tremendously beastly audio note from the exhaust and revs muscularly to well over 8,000 rpm. This is a noticeable step up from the base-level Corvette, but simply resides in the middle of the road compared to the upcoming C8 Corvette ZR1. Recently spotted by these experienced automotive bloggers in prototype form, it is expected to be one of the latest ‘Vettes to enjoy the authentic and very exclusive power source of a standard combustion engine. And what a legendary engine It will be: it has been spotted with full-body cladding and telltale center exhaust tips.

This V8 in question will be billed the “LT7” and is expected to crank out nearly 850 horsepower. This is almost 100 more horsepower than the previous-gen ZR1, which galloped up to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. The prototype was also spotted wearing extremely tidy HQ Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, with the upper trim levels donned in Pilot Sport Cup 2R versions. The ZR1 will use an 8-speed Tremec dual-clutch automatic transmission, and what was originally thought to be released as a hybrid could be a successful and exciting blast down piston and rod-infused memory lane.

The Carbuzz.com team had also recently shown their very own take here of the Hybrid E-Ray in action, with the wait for the powerful ZO6 C8 being over. With its mid-engine layout, the C8 will also introduce a plug-in hybrid billed as the E-Ray, spied last fall doing its thing on the outskirts of the famed and tricky-to-handle Nurburgring. The prototype spotted here combines a few different design elements from the Corvette ZO6 with a rear bumper from the Stingray, which has dual exhaust tips and a lack of distinguishable gas-powered engine audio.

According to many rumors, the Corvette E-Ray will source power from a 6.2-liter V8 paired alongside an electric motor on the front axle and should produce nearly 650 horsepower. This will also be the very first all-wheel-drive Corvette, supposedly allowing the E-Ray to hit 60 mph in just two blistering track-happy seconds. Before the all-electric models take precedence and act as judge and jury over the corner-huggers and throttle-enthused driver’s itinerary, models like this incoming ZR1 will keep alive a sense of passionate and unbridled excitement for every little change and chance to enjoy the open and always-beckoning road!
