2021 Silverado 2500 HD Custom Diesel Now Brandishing Torque-Rich and Tough 6.6-Liter V8

There is absolutely no doubt that the Silverado is the front-running favorite of many truck buyers nationwide right now with its well-laid out interior, excellent safety features, and massive towing ability. Engine selection is one of the first items that potential buyers look at up close, and the 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Custom will now offer the 6.6-Liter V8 LSP turbodiesel Duramax. Since its introduction for the 2020 model year, the 2500 models in the Custom trim level were only available with the gas-powered 6.6-Liter V8, and now this favorite  trim offers the gas-powered 6.6-Liter V8 L8T and the diesel-powered 6.6-Liter V8 LSP.

A sizeable list of configuration choices is also on deck for this capable and always work-ready Silverado, offering the Double Cab/Standard Bed, the Double Cab/Long Bed, Crew Cab/Standard Bed, and the Crew Cab/Long Bed. This 6.6.-Liter V8 LSP Turbodiesel Duramax produces 445 Horsepower at 2,800 rpm and 910 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 rpm, with the other option in the form of the 6.6-Liter V8 LSP gas model delivers 401 horsepower at 5,200 RPM and 464 lb-ft of torque.

The diesel engine is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission, while the gas engine connects to a 6-speed automatic. The 2021 Silverado 2500 HD rides on a much more capable version of the GM T1 platform and is proudly assembled at the GM Flint Facility and GM Fort Wayne in Indiana. The biggest and most capable of Chevy trucks have a large selection of trailer-assistance technology that provides a winning edge to rev up early on the job site and be able to compete with the Ford Super Duty and Ram HD lines.

Bold bodywork, a maximum tow rating of 36,000-pounds, and the very useful trailer-length indicator are other massive draws to this truck with a slew of feature-rich special editions. You have your pick of the stealthily-cloaked and blacked-out Midnight Edition, the heavy-on-chrome Z71 Sport, Z71 Chrome, and the Carharrt Special Edition thoroughly celebrating the hard-working backbone of America. We have tons of love for this great truck with its unique Mosiac Black paint and pinstripe details, soft tonneau cover, brown leather upholstery, and custom Carhartt badging. As you are preparing for a long day on the job, another great feature the Silverado HD provides is different trailer profiles, also giving you the opportunity to control their functions with a smartphone app.

Every best-selling truck on the market right now has a distinct personality and feel, and the Silverado is known for its awesome and practical driving stance as well as its clean cabin layout and top-of-the-line safety features. Be sure to ask about our amazing warranty and maintenance coverage here at Chuck Hutton of Memphis, and enjoy the added extra protection with safety features such as forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and rear-cross traffic alert, and available lane departure.
