2022 Camaro To Sport New Rapid Blue Color Offering, Sleek and Superior ZL1 Model

The Camaro has long been the sought-after and dominating pony car of the ranks here at Chuck Hutton Chevy of Memphis, displaying pure thunder on the track while refusing to adhere to anything closely resembling a rule book! The Rapid Blue color will now be available on the incoming model, and the top-notch engine lineup will continue on from the 2021 model year, including a 275-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder, 335-horsepower 3.6-liter V6, 455-horsepower 6.2-liter V8, and 650-horsepower supercharged V8 in the high-performance and daredevil-status ZL1 model.

Every single exciting model from the base 4-cylinder to the V6 or V8 can be enhanced for thrilling track performance with the 1LE package. Simply geared to those who love everything about driving, all models now also come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 1LE package is now available with the 10-speed automatic transmission on the V8 SS versions, and also adds black-painted 20-inch wheels and satin-black exterior accents. The most exciting upgrades to write home about are the ones that provide gigantic boosts to performance, as every 1LE has the dual-mode exhaust, enhanced powertrain cooling components, more powerful brakes, and specialized tuning on the suspension.

The availability of the 1LE package was a genius addition that allows entry-level trim buyers to experience the upgrades that truly “provide superior liftoff”, and pairing it with the 1SS trim comes equipped with the muscular V8. The base 275-horsepower is by no means slow, but the Car and Driver staff testified firmly on the behalf of the V6's added potential by claiming that this is where the car's character changes into something magical. A completely different sound, tremendous low-end torque, amazing power delivery, and perfectly-aggressive acceleration all see an improvement due to the presence of the dual-mode exhaust.

The well-balanced ride is firm enough to be precise on curvy roads, yet still grips just right on rough surfaces. A spacious back seat is not what anyone would tend to expect from a car in this high-performance category, but the mix of controls and organized menus for infotainment and navigation is laid out finely on-point. Key safety features on-board include available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, available forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors. Muscle cars such as this never met any type of downward slump, they simply evolved, and the available technology of the present day has rendered vehicles such as the Camaro downright amazing.

The 2022 Camaro will be able to do much more than just blast down the drag strip while providing top-notch handling, the latest infotainment features, and abundant speed no matter what engine you select. Extra powertrain cooling capacity and Brembo brakes are extreme benefits of the SS trim, as well as the visually-characteristic rear spoiler and upgraded driver infotainment center.
